Flexible electronics provide exciting opportunities for innovation in biosensors and medical devices. Biology is soft and often curved, but traditional electronics are rigid and planar. Building electronics on a flexible substrate allows them to interface with the body more comfortably and more efficiently. We are particularly interested in using flexible electronics to develop next-generation neural interfaces that can detect or stimulate activity in the brain.
