Nanomaterial Synthesis

We synthesize solution-based electronic materials (“inks”) using two routes: sol-gels or nanocrystals. Metal oxide inks (i.e. ZnO, In2O3) are often used because they can be readily synthesized, they can be mixed to vary their electronic properties, and they produce high-quality transistors. Solution-based nanomaterials allow us to make solid thin films of inorganic materials using large-area, low-cost fabrication methods.
